AFC Playoff picture for the Houston Texans

Houston, Tx (SportsRadio 610) - With the Pittsburgh Steelers defeating the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Houston Texans take sole ownership of second place in the AFC.  If the season ended with the week 15 conclusion, the Houston Texans would have their first playoff bye in franchise history.

Except the season doesn't end after week 15 and the Texans have yet to clinch a postseason berth or the AFC South.

But all of that could happen in week 16:

First Round Bye: Texans must win and the Patriots lose.

AFC South: Texans must win or the Titans and Colts lose.

Playoff Berth: Texans win or the Ravens or Steelers lose.

“I think it’s all about the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s all about trying to have a good week, good practice week and going up to Philly to play a very difficult game," said Houston Texans head coach, Bill O'Brien. "A very difficult game against a team that just beat the Rams on the road. It’s all about the Eagles.”
