HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – As the Texans prepare for their Wild Card game against the Colts, nightmares of Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton come to mind.

Against the Texans in 2018, Luck is 67 of 103, for 863 yards, with six touchdowns and one interception.  In the week four matchup, Luck completed 40 of 62 attempts, for 464 yards and four touchdowns.  Then in the week 14 game, Luck was 27 of 41, for 399 yards, two touchdowns and one interceptions.

“This guy (Luck) is such a smart guy, he’s so competitive, you’re not really going to trick him, he’s seen it all.  He’s a very alert guy, very focused, he knows what he’s looking at.  We’ve got to do a good job this week of preparing our guys and then go out and compete at a high level on Saturday,” Texans head coach Bill O’Brien told the media on Monday.

T.Y. Hilton’s numbers have been equally as impressive.  In two games, Hilton has 13 catches for 314 yards.  In week four, the numbers were a little more modest for Hilton’s standard against the Texans as he caught four passes for 115 yards.  Then in week 14, he made NRG Stadium his second home, as Hilton caught a season high 9 passes for a season high 199 yards.

“He’s got a great ability to make a lot of routes look the same if that makes sense.  He’s an incredible route runner,” O’Brien added.  “He runs them all at the same speed, breaks in, breaks out, runs posts, runs comebacks, runs slants, runs short routes, deep routes, intermediate routes, he can do it all.  He’s got great hands, very instinctive guy, so we just have to do the best we can.  You’re not going to hold him to no yards receiving.”
