HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Texans outside linebackers coach John Pagano has been dismissed, according to the Houston Chronicle, citing league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

Pagano had been the outside linebackers coach for the past two seasons, coaching Jadeveon Clowney in a Pro Bowl season in 2018 and Whitney Mercilus this past season. Mercilus is a Pro Bwol alternate.

Prior to his time in Houston, Pagano was an assistant with the Raiders and coached superstar outside linebacker Khalil Mack.

Pagano's older brother, Chuch Pagano, now coaches Mack as the Chicago Bears' defensive coordinator.

Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel is also expected to be replaced in 2020

Defensive line coach Anthony Weaver is a top candidate for the job, though Crennel could stay on as a senior assistant.
