Houston (SPORTSRADIO 610) - Prior to Saturday's game against the Rangers, Astros Manager A.J. Hinch told the media that it was likely that Jose Altuve would be placed on the 10-day Injured List for a hamstring injury he suffered Friday night. Hinch did not believe the injury to be serious. Altuve is in the midst of a hitting slump where he is batting just .234 on balls in play which is a career low.

Hinch also announced that starting pitcher Colin McHugh would return to his role in the bullpen where he had a lot of success last season. This season as a starter, McHugh has a record of (3-4) with a 6.37 earned run average. As a reliever last year, he posted a 1.99 ERA.

Minor leaguer Corbin Martin is expected to make his Major League debut in McHugh's place on Sunday. Martin has a 1.48 ERA in four starts at Triple-A Round Rock this season. He also has 28 strikeouts in 24.1 innings pitched.
