HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Ka’imi Fairbairn missed two more kicks on Sunday against Kansas City, bringing his total to seven misses on the year, which matches the amount of misses he had in 2018.

Fairbairn missed an extra point, and a 46-yard field goal in the Texans, 31-24 win.  On the year, Fairbairn is now 6 of 9 on field goal attempts and 16 of 20 on extra point tries.

“We got to look at the whole operation, technique wise.  We have to make those kicks, that’s professional football, we’ve got to make the kicks, Ka’imi knows that,” Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien said during his Monday press conference.

All of Fairbairn’s misses have been with Bryan Anger as his holder.  The Texans signed Anger ahead of their Week 3 game against Jacksonville to take the punting and holding duties away from Trevor Daniel.

Fairbairn made both of his field goal tries, and all four of his extra point attempts in the first two games of the season with Daniel holding.

With Anger holding, Fairbairn is 4 of 7 on field goal tries and 11 of 15 on extra point attempts.

In 2018, when Fairbairn was thought of as a Pro-Bowl snub, and Daniel as his holder all year, he made 37 of 42 field goal attempts and converted on 39 of 41 extra point tries.
