Paul was traded by the Rockets along with two first-round picks and other draft considerations July 16 in exchange for Russell Westbrook who will make his Oklahoma City return January 9. The Rockets and Thunder will play a third and final time January 20 at 4:00 from Toyota Center.

The Rockets will open the season when they host last season's MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on October 24, part of a three-game season-opening homestand that will have top overall pick Zion Williamson make his Houston debut two days later, with Paul's visit coming 48 hours later.

For the third straight year, the Rockets will be in action on Christmas Day, taking on the Golden State Warriors in a playoff rematch at the Warriors new arena in San Francisco. That's the second meeting between the two teams, with the Warriors visiting Toyota Center on November 6. The teams will meet again February 20 in San Francisco and April 2 in Houston.

The Rockets longest road trip of the season will be five games at the end of March when Toyota Center hosts the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The Rockets longest homestand will last four games from January 15 through January 22.

Houston is scheduled to play 38 games on the NBA's national television partners of TNT, ESPN, ABC, and NBA TV. Only the Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers have more.
