HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Rockets will be without Chris Paul when they host the Phoenix Suns Friday night at Toyota Center.

According to the team's injury report, the Rockets guard will miss the game due to rest. Paul just played three games in four nights, and after Friday's game, the Rockets have a three game in four night stretch beginning with Sunday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Toyota Center. The Rockets will not have more than one day between games until April.

Paul, 33, missed 17 games earlier this season due to a left hamstring strain. He has played in 19-of-20 contests since his return, missing only the second night of a back-to-back February 2 in Utah.

In his second season with the Rockets, Paul is averaging 15.4 points per game in 32.6 minutes. He is in the first year of a 4-year, $160 million contract.

The Rockets will enter Friday's game 42-26 on the season, a half game up on Oklahoma City for third place in the Western Conference.
