HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – At 8:00 p.m. on Saturday the Dynamo will play their third game in July, and first on the road, when they are in Colorado to face the Rapids.

The Dynamo (7-6-4, 25 points) are coming off a dominating 3-0 victory over Minnesota United FC.  Philippe Senderos scored twice for the club, and Alberth Elis would add a second half stoppage time goal.  The win improved the Dynamo’s home undefeated streak to seven.

On the road, the Dynamo haven’t had the same success with three straight road losses.  Houston’s last road win came on May 20 with a win against Chicago.

Colorado (4-11-3, 15 points) enters the match playing better than they were a little over a month ago when the two teams met at BBVA Compass Stadium.  In the Rapids five matches since the 2-0 loss at Houston, they’ve won twice and have seven of their 15 points in that span.  At home, the Rapids are just 3-5-2.

In the first meeting between the Dynamo and the Rapids, Tomas Martinez and Mauro Manotas scored goals in the first half while Yannick Boli was shown a red card in first half stoppage time.  The Dynamo used the man advantage to dominate possession and see the game through in the second half.

Manotas and Elis are in a tight race for the team’s golden boot as they are tied with nine each.  Romell Quioto continues to lead the team in assists with 10.  Dominique Badji’s seven goals leads Colorado.

Listen to Saturday’s match beginning with a 7:30 p.m. pregame show on SportsRadio 610.
