Dynamo See Lead Slip Away

Fall 3-2 Against Sporting Kansas City

HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Three unanswered second half goals leads Sporting Kansas City to a 3-2 win ove the Dynamo.

Mauro Manotas scored the first game in the second minute after a turnover that got the ball to Tomas Martinez.  Martinez fed Manotas and then he was able to blast a shot by Tim Melia to put the Dynamo in front.

Later in the first half, Manotas scored again in the 45th minute off a pass from DaMarcus Beasley that left the net empty and Manotas wouldn’t miss.

The Dynamo would take a two goal lead into halftime against the best team in the West.

Sporting started their comeback in the 59th minute when Daniel Salloi scored off a Johnny Russell assist to cut the lead in half.

In the 85th minute Diego Rubio, who was fresh off the bench, would level the score at one on assists from Salloi and Russell.

Eric Alexander picked up his second yellow card in the 87th minute, which forced the Dynamo to play with 10 men for the rest of the match.

Khiry Shelton, in the 88th minute, would keep Sporting Kansas City’s momentum going as he scored the winning goal.

Sporting improved their record to 9-2-5, 32 points while the Dynamo fell to 6-6-3, 21 points.
