HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) –  Three second half goals lead to a come from behind victory as the Dynamo top the LA Galaxy, 3-2.

LA Galaxy needed a win on MLS decision day in order to make the playoffs, and they looked to be well on their way after a dominant first half saw Ola Kamara score a first half brace.

Romell Quioto’s goal in the 57th minute got things started for the Dynamo.  Quioto was able to spring loose to his right foot and nutmeg two defenders, and beat David Bingham to cut the Dynamo deficit down to one.

In the 73rd minute, Romain Alessandrini was trying to clear a ball out of the Galaxy box and caught A.J. DeLaGarza with a high boot and the Dynamo were awarded a penalty kick.  Mauro Manotas took the PK and scored to level the match at two.

Six minutes later Alberth Elis was about to spring free down the right touch line, he fired a cross into the six-yard box and Manotas made a run to be able to slide and redirect the ball in for another goal and a 3-2 Dynamo lead.

It was a lead the Dynamo would not surrender despite nine additional minutes.  The Galaxy outshot the Dynamo, 19-12 with seven of them on goal to the Dynamo’s four.

With LA losing, Real Salt Lake kept the sixth spot in the Western Conference table and will play in the Knockout Round.
