According to McClain, the Texans waived the running back because they "weren't happy with his work habits."

When asked this week in training camp about who would be the third running back behind starter Lamar Miller and Foreman, head coach Bill O'Brien responded, "Who are the first two?" Miller and Foreman were mentioned again and O'Brien replied, "Miller," and that the backup role was "wide open."

The Texans running backs behind Miller are Josh Ferguson, Buddy Howell, Taiwan Jones, and undrafted rookies Damarea Crockett and Karan Higdon Jr.
