HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- The JJ Watt Charity Classic and home-run derby returns to Minute Maid Park next June.

The event will be on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Minute Maid Park.

Watt and his Texans teammates will play softball to benefit the JJ Watt Foundation.

The foundation aims to provide funding for 6th-8th grade after-school athletic programs that need uniforms and/or equipment.

The goal is to provide opportunities for students to become involved in athletics so that they may learn the character traits of accountability, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and perseverance while in a safe and supervised environment with their peers.

The previous five JJ Watt Charity Classic games have raised nearly $5,000,000. To date, the foundation has donated over $5,680,000 to more than 600 schools in 37 states and Washington D.C.

“I’m striving to ensure kids are given opportunities to be successful,” Watt said. “The JJ Watt Charity Classic is not only fun for fans, but their support is helping middle-school athletes expand their horizons and learn valuable life lessons.”

You can get tickets starting here at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5.
