HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – The Texans were close, really close.  The Texans had their statement victory to start the season, Bill O’Brien had a big win and Deshaun Watson had another signature, dramatic comeback to add to his growing resume, but Wil Lutz’ 58-yard field goal as time expired spoiled all of that.

While the Texans won’t celebrate starting 0-1 on the year, they went toe-to-toe on the road with potentially the best team in the NFC.

“Now, we just need to go back and watch the tape and fix some things.  If we fix them, and we work hard, and we don’t let one game define us then we have a chance to have a good football team, but if we let this game define us, then we’ll be up and down,” Texans’ Head Coach Bill O’Brien told the media following Monday’s loss.

Last season the Texans started 0-3 before a nine-game winning streak highlighted an 11-5 regular season.  The Texans will be hoping to win their first game of the season sooner in 2019, and their next opportunity comes Sunday, Sept 15 when they host Jacksonville in the home opener.
