Paul Looks Back Fondly Of HIs Time In Houston

Chris Paul returned to Toyota Center for the first time since July's trade

HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- During the first timeout of the Rockets 116-112 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night the video board inside Toyota Center played a tribute video to Chris Paul who made his return for the first time since the July blockbuster that had him switch teams with Russell Westbrook. 

“Extremely grateful," Paul said when asked about the tribute.

The 18,055 people in attendace showered Paul with a standing ovation which drew an acknowledgement from the futer hall of famer.

"The fans here were always great to me and my family. I will forever be grateful for that.”

Paul scored 15 points for the Thunder, who dropped to 1-3 with the loss. After the game, Paul exchanged pleasantries with many of his former teammates as well as Rockets staffers, but he admitted he's been keeping close tabs on his old team. 

"I've watched every game they've played. I still talk to (P.J. Tucker) everyday. Gary Clark, talk to him. I hope I don't get them in trouble. Talk to Russ pretty often. They got a really good team."
