HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- The Rockets losing streak is over at four games after a 121-105 win over the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night at Toyota Center.

James Harden and Russell Westbrook combined to score 55 points with Westbrook's 28 points leading the way. He grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out eight assists to go with four steals, while Harden shot 13-of-15 from the free throw line as the Rockets improved to 27-16 on the season.

Eric Gordon shot  8-of-11 from the field, 6-of-8 from behind the three-point line, to score 25 points off the bench.

The Nuggets took advantage of four Rockets turnovers in less than five minutes to take a 16-9 lead, but a Harden fastbreak dunk capped an 11-2 Rockets run to put them up by a bucket. Will Barton's three with 2:45 left in the first quarter put Denver up 26-25, but the Rockets closed the period with a 10-2 burst and led the rest of the way.

Houston outscored Denver 25-15 to take a 17 point lead into halftime and grew the lead to as many as 22 in the third quarter. The final margin was as close as the Nuggets would get the rest of the night.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for his eighth triple-double of the season, but Denver played without Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Paul Millsap, Michael Porter Jr, and Mason Plumlee.

The Rockets will be in action again Friday when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first game of a four-game road trip.
