Team converts 2-way contract to standard NBA deal

HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- Danuel House will rejoin the Rockets after the team elected to convert his two-way contract into a standard NBA contract for the remainder of the season.

House has been away from the Rockets since he and the team could not agree to a contract January 15, when the 45-day clock on his two-contract was set to expire. The Rockets wanted House to sign a 3-year, league minimum contract, while House wanted what he ended up getting, which allows him to be a restricted free agent this summer.

The Houston-native signed a two-way contract with the Rockets December 6 after the team waived him to make room for Gary Clark December 4. He signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Rockets November 26.

In 25 games with the Rockets, House has made 12 starts and averaged nine points per game. He has shot 39 percent from behind the three-point line.

House will likely be in uniform for the Rockets when they look for their 10th straight against the Golden State Warriors Wednesday night at Toyota Center.
