HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- 25 seasons after casting them aside, the Rockets will bring back the jerseys they wore during their 1994 and 1995 championship seasons.

The "classic" jerseys are the road jerseys the team wore from 1972-1995 and have not been worn since game two of the 1995 NBA Finals in Orlando. The Rockets unveiled those jerseys as well as updates to their "icon" and "association" jerseys in an event for season ticket holders Thursday night at Toyota Center.

The red "icon" and white "association" jerseys have updated fonts across the chest and a solid color down the sides. It marks the first time the Rockets primary uniforms have been updated since the team moved to Toyota Center in 2003.

Along with the three unveiled Thursday, the Rockets will wear two other jerseys next season. The team will keep the black "statement" uniforms they've worn the last two seasons and will add a "city" jersey in November. The team hasn't released details of those, only saying in a release that they will be "out of this world," though, they will not include Chinese characters. The Rockets will debut an alternate court for home games played during the Lunar New Year.
