HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) –  On the first business day after the 2018 NFL Draft, the Texans make a flurry of transactions.

Alfred Blue was re-signed by the Texans after not drafting a running back in the draft.

Blue, 27, spent the last four years with the Texans after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The five-year pro has played in 56 games in his career, starting 14 of those.  Blue has rushed for 1,908 yards in his career with six touchdowns.

2015 was Blue’s best year when he started nine games and rushed for 698 yards with two touchdowns.

Blue has also been an active special teamer for the Texans in his four years.

In addition to the signing of Blue, the Texans cut tight end Zach Conque, corner back Bryce Jones, tight end Ryan Malleck and outside linebacker Gimel President.

Only President and Malleck played for the Texans last season.  President had one tackle in four games and Malleck appeared in two games catching one pass for three yards.
