(SportsRadio 610) -- Texans season-ticket holders can either have their 2020 tickets refunded, or apply their payment toward 2021.

The Texans emailed season-ticket holders Monday saying they could keep the tickets and that the team would know later in July how seating is managed at NRG Stadium.

If fans are allowed at stadiums, it will be at a limited capacity, likely with strict social distancing guidelines.

For season-ticket holders who want to punt on the 2020 season, they can request a refund, or apply the payment toward 2021 season tickets along with a 10 percent credit for food and merchandise at the stadium.

The Texans are scheduled to open their preseason against the Vikings in Minnesota on Aug. 14. Their first home preseason game is scheduled for Aug. 22 against the Seattle Seahawks.

The regular season home-opener against the Baltimore Ravens  is scheduled for Sept. 20.

It is unclear whether the NFL will alter its schedule, though it has already canceled the Hall of Fame game in Canton and there have been reports the preseason could be cut in half.
