HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Kansas City head coach Andy Reid gave praise to Romeo Crennel, his scheme and the Texans’ defensive personnel during his phone conference with the Houston media on Wednesday.

“Romeo, I’ve known a lot of years, and have had an opportunity to compete against and he does a great job with that defense.  You’ve got the scheme and you have all these players and they’re playing good football.  So, we’ve got to make sure we go through the process of getting ready to play them.  They’ve got a very talented group,” Reid said.

The Texans will have their hands full on Sunday when they visit Arrowhead Stadium to face Kansas City.  The Chiefs rank second in the NFL in total offense with 444.6 yards per game, and their 356 yards per game through the air leads the league.

Defending the pass has not been the strongest area for the Texans’ defense through five games of the 2019 season.  Crennel’s defense has surrendered 270.4 yards per game through the air, ranking 25th in the league.

In total yards the Texans rank 20th in the league as they give up 365.4 yards per game defensively.
