HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – Galen Robinson’s career high matching 20 points lifts Houston to a 79-56 win against Lamar.

Houston raced out to a 19 point halftime lead, and then cruised in the second half to win the game by 23.  In addition to Robinson, the Cougars had two other players score in double figures as the reigning American Conference Player of the Week, Armoni Brooks, poured in 17 points while grabbing nine rebounds.  Freshman, Nate Hinton, finished with 12 points off the bench for Houston.

With the win, Houston is now 7-0 on the season and remain one of 11 teams in the entire nation that still have an undefeated record.  The win also lifts the Cougars’ home winning streak to 21 games, which is the second longest in the nation behind South Dakota State.

Next up, the Cougars put their perfect record on the line when they travel to Stillwater, Okla to face Oklahoma State on Saturday.
