HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) – The clock is ticking on the decision whether or not to activate D’Onta Foreman to the 53-man roster.

“We’re talking about that.  I don’t know that that decision has been made.  In fact, it hasn’t, but it’s definitely in the conversation,” Texans’ head coach Bill O’Brien said on Monday.

The Texans have a Wednesday, December 5 deadline to activate Foreman to the active roster.  If they fail to do so, Foreman will miss the entire 2018 season.

Foreman, 22, tore his achilles tendon on a touchdown run last season and was activated off the PUP list on November 14.  Foreman has been allowed to practice with the team for up to 21 days while the Texans decide to activate him or not.

Last season, Foreman ran for 327-yards on 78 carries with two touchdowns.  As a rookie, Foreman averaged 4.2 yards per carry and had his best game in the game he tore his achilles when he had a career high 65-yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.

Lamar Miller has put together his best season as a Texan so far in 2018 with 876-yards through 11 games.  Miller has also rushed for 100-yards or more four times this season after failing to reach that mark once in 2017.
