HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610)- Russell Westbrook's 32 point, six rebound, nine assist night led the Rockets to a 128-121 win over the Dallas Mavericks Friday night at Toyota Center.

Westbrook shot 13-of-28 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line as the Rockets reclaimed the top spot in the Southwest Division by upping their record to 30-18 on the season.

Dallas scored the game's first, but the Rockets knocked down eight three-pointers in the period to grab a 35-28 lead after 12 minutes. The Mavs pulled to within two on Seth Curry's layup with 9:34 to go in the half, but Eric Gordon answered with a layup, which started an 8-0 Rockets run. After going without an offensive rebound for the first 17 minutes of the game, the Mavs took advantage of six in the final seven minutes of the first half and pulled to within five at the break. James Harden's 19 points led all scorers.

Westbrook started the second half with a six footer and after Ryan Broekhoff missed from three, Danuel House connected from long distance to make it a 10-point game, and Westbrook completed a three-point play to give the Rockets their biggest lead of the night. He scored 16 points in the period and the Rockets took a 101-85 lead into the fourth, but the Mavs made it a game by starting the period on a 19-6 run to cut the Rockets lead to 3, but that was as close as they'd get.

James Harden scored 35 points, 14 came in the fourth quarer and he grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds.

Without Clint Capela, the Rockets played without a center for all 48 minutes and capitalized by draining 21-of-45 three-pointers.

Without Luka Doncic, who missed the game due to a sprained ankle, Kristaps Porzingis led the Mavs with 35 points and 12 rebounds.

The Rockets will be in action Sunday afternoon when they host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.
