XFL selects Houston as one of eight cities to receive a franchise team

HOUSTON (SPORTSRADIO 610) - An XFL franchise is coming to Houston after the XFL's commissioner and CEO, Oliver Luck, made the announcement of all eight franchise locations.

The Houston XFL franchise will play their games at TDECU Stadium, also the home University of Houston Cougars.

Early reports broke that Houston would be a franchise city after a list of eight cities appeared on XFL.com.

Those other cities included Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, D.C., Tampa, New York, and St. Louis.

This is the second incarnation of the XFL, which is owned by WWE owner, Vince McMahon.

The XFL will kick-off February 8-9, 2020, after the conclusion of the Super Bowl.
