HOUSTON (SportsRadio610) -- Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole are among the six Astros named to the All-MLB team, the league announced Tuesday.

Verlander, who also won the American League Cy Young Award, and Cole were both named to the first team.

Four other Astros -- pitcher Zack Greinke, second baseman Jose Altuve, third baseman Alex Bregman and designated hitter Yordan Alvarez -- were named to the All-MLB second team.

The six Astros are the most of any team selected to the 2019 All-MLB team.

Bregman was also the runner-up to Angels outfielder Mike Trout for American League MVP. Alvarez was named the AL Rookie of the Year last month.
