(SportsRadio 610) -- One week after learning the Texans planned to trade star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second-round pick, Deshaun Watson appears to be shining light on how he feels about the move.

Watson tweeted a statement last week showing his admiration for Hopkins as a friend and teammate. But he stopped short of criticizing the trade.

That seemed to change Monday, when Watson tweeted the following lyric from Drake's Emotionless:

"i don't know how i’ma make it out of here clean. can’t even keep track of who plays for the other team.. iconic duos rip and split at the seams"

Hopkins later followed this up by quote tweeting Watson with the raised hands emoji.

Observers can make anything of it, but the message seems clear.

Separating Watson and Hopkins is less than ideal. It's difficult to see how this makes the Texans better, or how it could be in their best interest.

With most people isolated due to the coronavirus threat, there is more time to think about what all of this means.

Watson presumably is still a part of the Texans' long term plan, but a potentially iconic duo was ripped and split at the seams.
