(SportsRadio 610) -- Rockets players can begin individual workouts at the Toyota Center on Monday as Texas enters the second phase of its reopening plan.

The Houston Chronicle reports roughly nine players have expressed interest in returning to the practice facility sometime this week, though the rules allow just four players in the building at a time.

Only one player and one staff member are allowed on any basket. Head coaches, top assistants and front office personnel are not allowed onsite.

Players must arrive at the facility alone, in their own car and wearing a mask.

Temperature checks are also required.

Players have been barred from practice facilities since March 19 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since then, players have returned to their respective homes and established individual workout routines.

This is the first step toward the NBA possibly resuming its season.

The NBA is allowing teams to open practice facilities to players where local jurisdictions have eased stay-at-home orders.

About two-thirds of the league is expected to open at mininum on a part-time basis this week.
